Poster Art-Print Description:
The head of a dead bird rests on a gravel beach at low tide. The beach is at a city park in western Washington. The bird appears to be an American Robin (Turdus migratorius). Many of its anatomical features (beak, eye socket, ear opening, feathers) are still clearly distinguishable. However, its eyeball appears to have been removed, possibly by scavenging organisms (e.g., bacteria, insects, birds, fish).
