A Sled Dog Takes a Snooze, Iditarod Start, Anchorage, Alaska

The Iditarod is a dog mushing race that is over 1150 miles through remote Alaskan wilderness in winter. Temperatures can be as low as 40 below zero and mushers have to feed and care for their dogs the entire way. It begins near Anchorage and ends in Nome Alaska. It is also called the last great race.
